My walk around the outskirts of Shifnal.
01/04/2026 This weeks Shifnal walk features Lodge Hill, Sunnyside and Evelith Mill. Starting in the town,I made my way up Park Lane and veered right to reach Lodge Hill. Two views from the top of Lodge Hill. The views from the top are truly beautiful. Making my way down the hill, I reached Sunnyside where the only sounds are the gentle ripples of the River Worfe and the resident birds(chiff-chaff, blackbird, amongst others). The solitude in this area is absolutely wonderful. After spending a few minutes here I made my way along the river bank to Evelith Mill Adjoining Evelith Millhouse to North, Shifnal, Shropshire with the intention of continuing through King Charles Wood but my recent back injury was telling me to postpone that for another day. Evelith Mill So, instead of a right turn into the Wood,I continued uphill making my way to Sunnyside Farm and Livery. This gent came to greet me !
